Support for veterans

Find out more about support for veterans in Sunderland and how Veterans in Crisis Sunderland can help you.

Veterans in Crisis Sunderland (VICS)

Sunderland has one of the largest veteran communities in the country and is still one of the places with the highest recruiting figures for the Armed Forces.

Gentoo is extremely proud to support the Armed Forces community in Sunderland and last year we re-housed 68 veterans.

We’re a Platinum Partner of Veterans in Crisis Sunderland and their housing provider of choice.

If you are a veteran and you’re registered with a Sunderland GP and need help (or you know of someone that is), Veterans in Crisis Sunderland are here to help. Their mission is to do everything they can to get veterans back on their feet, however long it takes.

You don’t need to be in crisis – all veterans are welcome. You can call Ger on 07398 916 590 or Sam on 07495 825 799, or contact the office on 0191 567 1878.
