We have launched HR, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement system – Workday to transform our internal digital experience for colleagues.
The launch of the new system is part of our digital transformation journey where we are empowering colleagues with real-time data, enabling collaboration and fostering innovation.
We have implemented this change to help colleagues carry out their roles more efficiently and focus on serving our 60,000 customers.
This is just beginning of our Workday implementation and after going live with our first phase of the launch, colleagues can now book and manage their leave, book and manage their learning and development, check their payslips, plus many more HR tasks.
Samantha England, Director of People at Gentoo Group, said: “Our colleagues have a major impact on our customers through the service they deliver, so it’s vital that we give them the right tools and support.”
We will be launching the next phase of Workday implementation in April, expanding Finance and Procurement to further drive automation and operational efficiency.
Paul Wright, Finance and Procurement Director at Gentoo Group, said: “We’re looking to ride the wave of innovation through technology, leveraging automation and efficiency to improve outcomes for our customers and colleagues.
“The goal is to invest in leading-edge technologies in order to become a sleeker and more productive organisation that serves our people, our customers and our communities better.”
Dan Pell, General Manager, UKI, Workday, said: "Organisations today need flexible, data-driven solutions to navigate change and support their people. By adopting Workday, Gentoo is equipping its workforce with the tools to work more efficiently, make informed decisions, and focus on delivering for their customers. We look forward to supporting Gentoo as it continues its transformation."
We have been on a cultural transformation journey over the past two years, investing in its people and workplace experience. This Workday deployment is a key part of that strategy, ensuring colleagues have the tools and technology to thrive.
Samantha England, added: “This transformation isn’t only about improving our service and the way we work, but also about enhancing colleague morale and culture.”
