Free Festive Family Fun Day for Gentoo customers

Thanks to a partnership between Gentoo Group and the Foundation of Light, all Gentoo customers are invited to a free festive family fun day at the Beacon of Light on Monday 23 December.

Activities will include:

  • Santa’s Grotto
  • Bouncy castles and soft play
  • Disability multisport
  • Table tennis
  • Badminton
  • Football inflatables
  • Football challenges
  • Gingerbread decorating
  • Christmas UV dance party
  • Festive arts and crafts

The event will be split into various time slots to manage capacity. This is a ticketed event, and timeslots must be booked in advance. Customers must book a ticket for each person in their party, including children. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult.

Santa Claus and his elf will also be making a special guest appearance.

Gentoo colleagues will be on hand all day to answer any questions, help with any issues, offer support and get your feedback about the services they provide. Barclays will be there as well as other services to offer support.

Christmas can be a great time for making new memories and spending time with family and friends, so let’s kick off the Christmas holidays with some free festive family fun!

The event is open to all Gentoo customers, and you must live in a Gentoo home to attend. Customers must book a time slot and bring the confirmation with them on the day.

Who needs a ticket for the event?

Children and adults require tickets to attend the event. Please book tickets for each person in your party.

Where will I be able to park?

You can park for free using the Stadium of Light’s green or blue car parks. For more information on getting to the Beacon head to: How to find us >

Can I reach the Beacon of Light on public transport?

There are regular bus services to and from Stadium Park, with a bus stop outside the front entrance to the Beacon. We are also based just a few minutes’ walk away from the Stadium of Light and St Peter’s (the closest of the two) Tyne and Wear Metro stops.

Is there disabled access?

Yes, the Beacon of Light is fully accessible with lifts at the front and rear of the building.

Will I be able to bring a pushchair?

Pushchairs are welcome. We are designating the area between the main entrance and indoor arena viewing gallery to store pushchairs at your own risk.

Will there be refreshments available?

Food will be available and charges may apply for some items.

If you have a dietary requirement please select this from the drop down when ordering your tickets.

There is also an onsite café with refreshments available to purchase.

There are also vending machines near the main entrance and outside the indoor arena.
