This week, we will finish transferring HomeHunt accounts to our new online housing register.
Next week, people who do not have HomeHunt accounts will be able to create an account, apply to join our housing register and upload documents where needed. The documents include ID, proof of their right to rent in England, and a landlord’s reference.
If you signed in to HomeHunt with your email address
We will send you an email on 3, 4 or 5 April from noreply@housingjigsaw.co.uk that contains a link so you can set your password.
The link will work for 24 hours. If the link does not work, there is another link in the email so you can reset your password.
If you do not get an email by the end of Wednesday 5 April, follow the guidance for people who signed in to HomeHunt with a memorable word or account number.
If you signed in to HomeHunt with a memorable word or account number
If you have an email address, email housingregister@gentoogroup.com from the email address you want linked to your account. In the email include your:
- full name
- first line of your address
- postcode
- date of birth
We will update your account and you will get an email to set your password.
If you do not have an email address, call 0191 525 5000 and select option 3 to speak to someone about your account.
When you sign in for the first time
You must check your account and housing application and update information as needed.

Advertising available properties
There will be one more set of properties advertised on HomeHunt on Wednesday 5 April. We will manage those bids and lettings on HomeHunt.
The first set of available properties on the new system will be advertised at 2pm on Wednesday 12 April.
