We have been using our new online housing register since April 2023. To make sure the information in our housing register is as up to date as possible, we are going to review all housing applications in August.
What a review means
We will check all housing applications to see if they are complete and have all required documents. These include ID and proof you have the right to rent in England.
Any incomplete applications will be deleted from the system. This means you would have to reapply to join our housing register.
How to stop your account being deleted
You must:
- sign in to your account
- check the information in your account and housing application
- update and complete information as needed
- upload any required documents
Some documents, like driving licences and passports, can be used as identification and proof of your right to rent. If you use the same document for two reasons, you will need to upload it twice.
If you had a HomeHunt account
All accounts and applications that we transferred from HomeHunt were incomplete. This is because we have added and changed questions in the housing application.
If you did not get an email from us in April 2023 so you could set your account’s password, check your junk or spam folder. If there is nothing there, it may be because the email address in your account is incorrect or out of date.
Email housingregister@gentoogroup.com from the email address you want linked to your account. In the email include your:
- full name
- first line of your address and postcode
- date of birth
We will update your account and you will get an email to set your password.
If you do not have an email address, call 0191 525 5000 and select option 3 to speak to someone about your account.
If you have applied to join our housing register since April 2023
All accounts and applications will be incomplete if you have yet to finish the application form or upload required documents.
