About the role of Assistant Site Manager

In this key role, you will be assisting the Site Manager in the delivery of all site-based activities on one of our luxury new build developments. Develop, implement and monitor an agreed quality inspection regime to ensure that standards and quality are delivered to the required levels. Ensure a customer-orientated culture in all parts of the project team, including subcontractors. Ensure that all site demands including effective risk management, health and safety standards, customer care and quality requirements for the scheme are met, through the introduction and application of a briefing and training programme for all site staff. Ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered to the set quality standards, customer care service and on programme within the cost and project plan objectives. Assist with all of the Construction requirements from inception to completion on new build developments. We are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Assistant to join the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance team, based at our Doxford Park, Sunderland head office. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for health and safety, who wants to further develop in this area. The role is to provide support to the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team. It involves managing and analysing various data and statistics and generating associated reports. It also includes monitoring the progress of actions raised by the team, administering, and overseeing the issue and use of lone worker devices and assisting the Health and Safety Team in managing the hand-arm vibration monitoring programme. Key responsibilities will include the following, a full job description is available to view at www.gentoogroup.com/careers • Carry out customer led property inspections to identify issues / repairs. • Identify any potential asbestos containing materials whilst on site, coordinate asbestos survey requests and analyse results prior to issuing work or granting any permission requests. • Recommend effective and cost-efficient solutions to issues / defects identified. • Raise maintenance works orders to properties where required (both internal & sub-contracted work) with relevant SOR. • Provide Building Technical Advice as required to members of the group • Deal effectively with aspects of all insurance claims and customer complaints. • Inspect, co-ordinate and process work associated with customer permission for alterations requests. • Carry out detailed condensation and dampness inspections along with full property inspections to identify repairs or defects. About the role of Plumber

Gentoo is investing in and expanding its Property Maintenance Team and has new opportunities for qualified Plumbers to join the Group. Our tenants are at the heart of what we do at Gentoo, therefore, providing excellent customer service is paramount in this role. You will need to be a people person with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of teams, colleagues, and customers within Gentoo to ensure we deliver excellent customer service every time. Your working week: We offer reduced working hours through the summer with 1 pm and 3 pm finishes available. During the winter our Plumbers work up to 4.30 pm Mon – Fri. Occasional Sat morning working is required, when worked the following Friday will become a day off. Training and development opportunities are available to all Plumbers, including products and the potential for training in renewable energy air/ground source heat pumps and qualification renewal. We also can offer opportunities to progress within Gentoo. As a Plumber at Gentoo, you would carry out the following tasks across our housing stock in Sunderland: • Ensure the Group is compliant in Gas and day-to-day Plumbing repairs including Heating installs and Water Safety • Carry out responsive repairs to Gentoo properties including installation and maintenance of sanitary ware, lumbing/heating systems, soil and rainwater goods • Installation of gas boilers, heating systems, associated pipework and components • Testing, commissioning and de-commissioning of all the above components and services • Gentoo operates an Emergency Out of Hours Service, which you may be required to work on a rota basis as and when required, with the potential of additional pay up to £ 865 per week.
