My Gentoo Downtime

Due to essential maintenance, the booking of Repairs using My Gentoo is currently unavailable. We are investigating the cause of this issue and will provide updates on when this is available for use. During this time you will not be able to book repairs. If you have an urgent repair that needs booking, please contact us on 0191 525 5000. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

What you can do with My Gentoo

Once you have registered, you can use My Gentoo to:

  • view your rent statement
  • pay rent for your home, garage or car parking space
  • update your personal information
  • report repairs and book a time that suits you
  • cancel or rearrange a repair
  • view repairs history
  • send us a direct message about your tenancy or a repair

Repairs you can report on My Gentoo

External work

This includes repairs to:

  • cracked brickwork
  • paths and paved areas
  • blocked or broken gullies
  • wooden gates

Joinery

This includes repairs to:

  • bath panels
  • rehang kitchen unit doors
  • draughty front and back doors
  • door locks and letterboxes
  • internal door latches and handles
  • rehang internal doors
  • draughty windows
  • window handles, hinges and locks
  • loose or creaking floorboards
  • loose bannisters

Plumbing

This includes repairs to:

  • leaking bathroom taps and waste pipes
  • leaking kitchen taps and waste pipes
  • leaking radiators and radiator valves
  • loose toilets
  • toilets that do not flush when you have more than one toilet

Garages

This includes repairs to a garage:

  • door
  • lock
  • flat roof

Repairs you cannot report on My Gentoo

You cannot report emergency repairs and any repairs not listed on My Gentoo. Find out more about reporting a repair.

Register for My Gentoo

To register you need your:

  • name
  • date of birth
  • tenancy number
  • email address

Your tenancy reference number is on your rent payment card or rent statement letter. It is the first 7 digits shown on the card or letter and starts with a ‘1’.

If you do not know your tenancy reference number, call 0191 525 5000 and select option 4.
